Do's & Don'ts
Ways to avoid common mistakes for actors.

When it comes to Do's & Don'ts, we have to be careful not to stop ourselves, or put our guard up. But, rather become more aware of and acknowledge these situations. Once you are aware you can let them go. They become a pattern or habit and will fall into place.  Trust what you know already and when you do not agree, or feel tension from something, note it, look into it, or let it go.

1. When showing up late to an audition, or class. Don't say I'm sorry. Don't apologize for being late, blaming it on traffic, your parents, spouse, etc. It simply looks bad! Just collect yourself and focus on what you are there to do.

2. Do arrive early. "It's better to arrive early and wait, than be late."

3. Don't Wait until the last minute to work on sides for an audition. As soon as you get the material, get to work.

4. Do Sign in early at auditions. Unless you need more time to work on your scene, or sides.

Best Job's for Actors!
We have created this list, so you can maximize your time in class, going to auditions and creating success for yourself in the business.

1. Well, we hate to say it, but being a WAITER, or Bartender is the best money for the least amount of time and mostly works in evening, keeping your days free for auditions and you only work 3-4 days a week.

2. This job comes with bonuses. TEMP WORK is one of the highest paying part time positions around. Averages from $10-$18 starting pay.
 3. Personal Assistant is great if you are working for someone who's connected in the business, or knows a lot about entertainment. The only snag to this one, is i've seen people get comfortable and stay. It can pay $40-$50 an hour if you are lucky.
4. Personal Trainer, let's face it, everyone loves to workout, right?  Well, if you are into fitness and have a lot of self discipline you can be very successful. This one comes with a Caution Flag though. This takes a lot of time getting started, therefore becomes another career in itself.
